Nürnberg Ice Tigers get new breath of life from sponsor

Just as the DEL quarterfinal round gets underway, the Nuremberg Ice Tigers finally got some positive news regarding their financial woes. A sponsor consortium known as THOMAS SABO will be taking over the current sponsoring contract from the company Aichinger. With this, the club's investors have the option to take over the Nuremburg team. Volker Böhm, the man in charge of bankruptcy proceedings believes that the tough negotiations have paved the way to keep the DEL club in town. In a statement to the fans, Thomas Sabo, the head of the sponsor group, thanked everyone for their hard work and support to save the club but reminded everyone that the situation is still not 100% resolved.
