Nathan Robinson and Andy Hedlund to Mannheim

Despite winning the DEL championship with the Berlin Polar Bears a couple of days ago, Nathan Robinson already had his mind made up to return to the Mannheim Eagles for next season. The 27-year-old center from Toronto left Mannheim after his initial season in Europe and promptly helped Berlin win two titles. Now the Eagles are hoping his winning attitude will rub off on his other teammates. This past season, Robinson's 14 goals and 37 assists tied for the second highest point totals on the team.

Mannheim also announced they had agreed to a contract with defenceman Andy Hedlund who played the last two seasons in Dusseldorf. The 30-year-old Minnesota native was the Metro Stars top scoring blueliner with 28 points in 52 games.
