Berlin takes series stranglehold

With four unanswered second period goals, Berlin took one step closer to claiming the DEL crown. After an even first period which ended 1-1, the Polar Bears stepped it up and pumped 19 shots at Dusseldorf netminder Jamie Storr. Stefan Ustorf, Denis Pederson, Brandon Smith and Andy Roach all found the mark for the home side in the middle 20 minutes. Rob Zepp was solid once again for Berlin stopping 33 out of 34 shots. The series shifts back to Dusseldorf for Game 4.
