Nurnberg financial situation sours

On Thursday, Bionorica AG (Sinupret) announced they were withdrawing their backing of the Nurnberg Ice Tigers citing internal political reasons. Without their support the other potential investors see no hope in saving the financially crushed organization. In all probability, bankruptcy proceedings will begin with the next two weeks. Should this happen, ownership of the license for the franchise will automatically revert back to the DEL.
