Chouinard leads comeback

Eric Chouinard was the chief architect of Nürnberg's 4-3 comeback win over host Kassel. The former first round Montreal draft pick scored the winner and assisted on two others, all in the third period after Kassel lead comfortably following 40 minutes of play.

Norm Milley and Blake Sloan each had a goal and an assist as host Wolfsburg upended Düsseldorf 3-1.
Vince Bellissimo potted a pair and Bruno St. Jacques add a goal and two assists as Ingolstadt pounded visiting Mannheim 6-1.
Joey Tenute was the only successful shooter as Frankfurt defeated Hannover 5-4 in a shootout. Scorpion Matt Dzieduszycki's second goal tied the seesaw battle half way though the final frame.
Defenseman Richie Regehr capped off a comeback with the winning goal in Berlin's 3-2 triumph in Hamburg. The Freezers 2-0 lead held up for the first 30 minutes until the visitors got on the board and slowly started to turn the tide. The Eisbären outshot the hosts 29-18 over the last two periods.
Marc Chouinard scored his first goal since joining Cologne as the Sharks built up an insurmountable 5-0 lead before visiting Ausburg could get on the board. Jason Jaspers chipped in a goal and two assists in the 7-2 whipping. The surging Sharks moved three points clear of the Panthers and into eighth place.
