Martin Jiranek introduced as new head coach in Krefeld

Former DEL player Martin Jiranek has been introduced as the new coach of the Krefeld Penguins replacing Igor Pavlovs who has moved on to the Cologne Sharks. This will be Jiranek's first head coaching job and came as a surprise decision to most outside observers. The Canadian with a German passport played a total of eleven seasons in the DEL, mostly with the Nuremberg Ice Tigers.
