Mannheim wraps up DEL series vs Nuremberg

With a 5-2 victory on home ice, Mannheim won their quarterfinal series 4 games to 1 and sent the Nuremberg Ice Tigers home for the summer holidays. The Eagles pulled out to a 3-0 lead by the middle of the 2nd period on goals by Jason King, Michael Hackert and Pascal Trepanier. Other scorers for Mannheim, who seem to have found their rhythm since replacing coach Dave King with his assistant Teal Fowler, were Francois Methot and Rene Corbet.
