Bob Hartley rumored as candidate for SC Bern coaching job

Although they say they are looking for someone with European experience after the experiment with John van Boxmeer did not pan out, suddenly Bob Hartley's name as popped up as his replacement with SC Bern. Hartley has never coached in Europe but does have two NHL teams on his resume, the Colorado Avalanche (1998-2002) and the Atlanta Thrashers (2003-2007). Hartley guided Colorado to the Stanley Cup in 2001 when Swiss goalie David Aebischer was on the team.

Other names in the mix include Bill Gilligan, Larry Huras, Kent Ruhnke, Vladimir Jursinov and even Arno Del Curto.
